Refund Policy

A clear, fair, no-hoops policy: a satisfaction guarantee for new subscribers and transparent terms for everyone.

1. Our Commitment to Your Satisfaction

At Body Byte, your fitness journey and satisfaction matter to us. We believe in our platform and want you to feel completely confident in your investment. That's why we offer a comprehensive satisfaction guarantee for new subscribers and a clear, fair policy for all our users. This policy is designed to be transparent, with no complex explanations required or hoops to jump through.

2. Free Trial Periods

Standard 7-Day Free Trial: Every new subscriber receives full access to all Body Byte premium features for 7 days at no charge. This gives you time to explore our workouts, nutrition plans, progress tracking, and community features.

Extended 14-Day Trial with Promotion Code: Eligible users with valid promotion codes can extend their trial to 14 days total (7 standard + 7 promotional days). This extended period allows you even more time to experience the full Body Byte experience.

Trial Terms

  • Full Access: Complete access to all premium features during trial periods.
  • Easy Cancellation: Cancel anytime during your trial with no charges.
  • No Commitment: No obligation to continue after your trial ends.
  • Grace Period: Cancellations processed up to 24 hours after trial expiration will not be charged.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

Available Plans

  • Monthly Plan: Billed monthly with flexible cancellation.
  • Annual Plan: Billed annually with significant savings.

Auto-Renewal Notice: All subscriptions automatically renew to ensure uninterrupted access to your fitness journey. To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your next scheduled renewal date. You can easily manage your subscription at any time in your account settings.

4. Refund Eligibility and Terms

Our refund policy is divided into two distinct periods to provide the best experience for both new and existing members.

4.1 New Subscriber 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on your initial subscription purchase only.

  • Eligibility: This guarantee applies exclusively to your first payment immediately following the end of your free trial.
  • Timeframe: You must request the refund within 30 calendar days of your first subscription charge.
  • What's Covered: This covers any reason for dissatisfaction, including a change of mind, financial circumstances, or the app not meeting your expectations. We stand by our no-questions-asked promise during this initial period.

4.2 Subscription Renewal 48-Hour Grace Period

For all subsequent monthly or annual subscription renewals, we offer a 48-hour grace period as a courtesy for users who may have forgotten to cancel.

  • Eligibility: This applies to any renewal charge after your first month's subscription.
  • Timeframe: You must request a refund within 48 hours of the renewal transaction.
  • Process: Upon approval, your subscription will be canceled, and your premium access will expire at the end of your previous paid billing cycle.

Refund requests for renewals made after this 48-hour window will not be granted.

5. Promotional Code Refunds

Subscriptions initiated with promotional codes (discounts, free months, etc.) are eligible for the same refund terms, calculated based on the actual amount paid. For example, a refund for a subscription purchased with a 50% discount code will be based on the discounted price paid.

Response Timeline

  • Initial Response: Within 4 hours during business hours.
  • Refund Processing: 24-48 hours from approval.
  • Money Back: Funds returned to original payment method within 5-7 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Account & Data After Refunds

Continued Access: For refunds processed under the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, your access to premium features will be terminated immediately. For refunds processed under the 48-Hour Renewal Grace Period, your access will revert to expiring at the end of the previous billing cycle.

Data Retention

  • Data Retention: Your workout history and progress data will remain accessible for 90 days.
  • Easy Restart: You can reactivate your subscription anytime within this period to restore your data.
  • Complete Deletion: You may request to have all your data permanently deleted, subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Platform Purchases (Apple & Google)

App Store Subscriptions: For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, their respective refund policies apply exclusively.

  • Platform Policies Apply: Apple and Google handle all refund requests directly.
  • Direct Contact: You must reach out to their customer support for any refund inquiries.
  • Our Support: We are still here to help with any Body Byte account questions or technical support issues you may have.

9. Business Protection & Abuse Prevention

Fair Use Guidelines: While we offer a customer-friendly policy, we reserve the right to limit refunds in cases of clear abuse, such as:

  • Multiple refund requests from different accounts tied to the same individual.
  • Systematic abuse of trial or refund periods to access content for free.

Fraud Protection: We monitor for patterns of fraudulent activity to protect the integrity of our service while ensuring legitimate customers are treated fairly.

10. Legal Compliance & Consumer Rights

Regulatory Compliance: This policy is designed to comply with FTC guidelines, state consumer protection laws, and international consumer rights (GDPR, CCPA).

Your Rights: This policy enhances, and does not limit, your legal consumer rights. If local laws in your jurisdiction provide stronger protections, those will take precedence.

11. Continuous Improvement

Feedback Loop: Every refund request is an opportunity for us to learn. While not required, any feedback you provide helps us enhance our app features, improve customer onboarding, and address technical issues.
